NYU Steinhardt
CCTOP is an exciting scholarship opportunity for students interested in pursuing a degree in Art, Music, Communication, Education, Nutrition, Public Health, Speech-Language Pathology, or Applied Psychology at NYU Steinhardt. The NYU Silver School of Social Work also participates in CCTOP, for transfers interested in pursuing Social Work as a future profession. Awards range from $8000-$22,500 per year, with merit and need-based scholarships included. In addition to the scholarship opportunities, CCTOP provides pre-admission advising and transfer credit evaluations to help with a smooth transition and transfer of credits. Nominated HCC students can qualify for CCTOP with a 3.0 GPA and 48 transferable credits into an NYU Steinhardt program; students must be admitted, enroll full-time at NYU Steinhardt and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to be eligible.
We’re also very excited to announce the expansion of the CCTOP program to include the NYU School of Continuing and Professional Studies- McGhee Division. SCPS-McGhee programs cover a broad array of academic interests, and are specifically designed around the working adult, with an array of evening, weekend, and online courses available. Students interested in SCPS-McGhee’s programs may also feel free to come to the information session, or visit their website at http://www.scps.nyu.edu/admissions/mcghee/mcghee_features/community-college-transfer-opportunity-program.html.
On February 9th, there will be an information walk-in hours about CCTOP from 11:00 to 1:00, in Lafayette Hall, room A108, the Counseling Center. If you’d like to find out if you’re eligible, or if you have any questions at all and cannot make it on the 9th, please feel free to contact the CCTOP Director, or send him your unofficial transcripts, with your contact information and choice of major, to cctop@nyu.edu, or faxed to (212) 995-4328. CCTOP Visit Day information and registration, along with additional information, is also available at http://steinhardt.nyu.edu/cctop.
