LIBRARY CARDS
∙
Patrons must have a current HCC Library card to check materials
out of the library.
∙ A library
card or picture ID must be shown when checking out materials.
∙ Patrons will be blocked from checking
out library materials if there are overdue items or unpaid fines on
their card.
∙
Renewals are not permitted on items which have holds or are more than 30
days overdue.
BOOKS
Loan Period: Four weeks. May
be renewed one time.
Restrictions: REFERENCE BOOKS
ARE FOR IN-LIBRARY USE ONLY.
Limits:
∙ 12 books for HCC students (with no more
than 5 on a topic).
∙ 3 books for
community borrowers.
BEST SELLERS & AUDIO BOOKS
Loan Period: Four weeks. May be renewed
one time.
Restrictions: Best sellers and audio
books circulate to HCC students, faculty, and staff
only.
Limits: A combined total of 3 Best
Sellers/Audiobooks
MAGAZINES
In-library use only.
VIDEOS/DVDs
Loan Period: One
Week. May be renewed one time.
Restrictions: Videos
and DVDs circulate to HCC students, faculty, and staff only. Some videos
and DVDs are
for in-library use only.
Limits: A combined total of three videos
and DVDs.
Fines: A fine of $1.00 per day for each video and
DVD (maximum of $5.00 per title) will be charged for overdue items.
COMPACT DISCS
Loan Period: Four
weeks. May be renewed one time.
Restrictions: CDs
circulate to HCC faculty, staff, and students only .
Limits:
3 CDs
RESERVE MATERIALS
Loan Period: As
marked. Usually two hours. May not be
renewed.
Restrictions: As marked. Most are for
in-library use only and may not be removed from the library.
Limits: 4 print items or 1 video, DVD, or CD. Lower limits
may be set in cases of high demand.
Fines: A $10.00 fine will
be charged for any in-library use only reserve item that is kept
overnight. A fine of $1.00 per day (maximum of $5.00 per title) for each
2-day or 1-week reserve item will be charged for overdue
items.
