Law Enforcement Job Fair 3/23 at HCC
Features Forum with Law Enforcement Officials
Open to Public at No Charge
BRIDGEPORT – Housatonic Community College will
hold its Third Annual Law Enforcement Job Fair Wednesday, March 23.
The event is designed to expose students to various career options
and highlight the importance of higher education for future criminal
justice practitioners. Representatives from federal, state and
local law enforcement agencies will be on hand to provide recruitment
information.
New to the event this year will an informal forum conducted by representatives
from the Connecticut Judicial Branch, State Police, and FBI. Attendees
will have the opportunity to direct questions to the panelists after
each presentation.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Events Center
in Beacon Hall. Criminal Justice majors from other colleges are invited
to attend the event, which is open to the public at no charge.
Housatonic Community College offers an associate degree and four certificate
programs in this field. Certificate programs are offered in Corrections,
Criminal Investigation, Police management and Administration, and Security
Operations.
Courses are transferable to four-year colleges and universities having
programs in criminal justice, public administration, and social sciences. In
addition, the college has automatic transfer agreements with four-year colleges
such as Sacred Heart University and the University of New Haven that offers
automatic acceptance to criminal justice students who meet specified criteria.

is located at 900 Lafayette Blvd. in downtown Bridgeport, less than 150 yards
off I-95 (Exit 27) and Rte. 8 (Exit 1), a block from the Webster Bank Arena
at Harbor Yard. Free parking is available in the Housatonic garage.
