HCC To Spotlight
Culture of Performance Art
Feb. 17, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Open to Public, No Charge
BRIDGEPORT - – The Culture of Performance Art
will be spotlighted Thursday, Feb. 17, when performers Trisha Baga
and Clifford Borress take HCC students and the audience on an artistic
journey through the creation of performance art.
From 2 to 3:15 p.m., the pair will conduct a workshop with HCC Theater
Arts students in which a performance piece will be developed. At 7
p.m., the piece will be performed and Baga and Borress will give a
solo performance. Both events will be held in the Performing
Arts Center in Lafayette Hall.
The events, which are open to the public at no charge, are being held
as part of the college’s Third Thursday Cultural Celebration
series. During most months in the academic year, a performing artist
representing a specific culture comes to the college on the third Thursday
to develop and perform a piece with Theater Arts students and give
a solo performance.
