New Haven woman a wrap in art world

BRIDGEPORT - Housatonic Community College
student Tunisia Alesia Corley, of New Haven, gives her
image a boost at a sculpture exhibit on display through
Dec. 13 at the college.
For the exhibit, Corley and other students were wrapped in clear packaging tape by their classmates, then cut free from the shell, college officials said in a statement.
The pieces of the shell were then taped back together to form the sculptures, the statement said.

The sculptures, which were done in an art class taught by Prof. Suzan Shutan of Hamden, will be on display in the Student Activities Office, Room 317C, Beacon Hall, and the adjacent Table Tennis room, the statement said.
