TIME RUNNING OUT TO REGISTER FOR FINAL HCC SUMMER SESSION
BRIDGEPORT –Time is running out to
register for Housatonic Community College’s final summer session.
The session, which offers more than 35 courses in Art, Biology, Communications,
English, History, Mathematics, Physics, Physical Science, Political Science,
Psychology, Sociology and Spanish, runs from July 6 through August 7. Tuition
for a three-credit course is $452 including fees, compared to more than $1,200
at a local private college.
“Students interested in registering for the session should do so as soon
as possible to avoid being closed out of the classes they want,” said HCC
spokesman Anson C. Smith. “Classes are filling up.”
The session, which offers something for everyone, is ideal for students who want
to graduate ahead of schedule or make up for lost time, said Smith.
The session, Smith said, is appropriate for HCC students enrolled in associate
degree or certificate programs, as well as students at other colleges and universities
who are looking for quality credits at an affordable cost.
While HCC’s credits transfer easily, students of other colleges
are encouraged to clear their summer course plans with their college
registrar to address any potential stumbling blocks.
Students who wish to attend may register in person (9 a.m.-4 p.m.)
through July 6; by fax, mail, dropping off a registration form and payment information
in the drop box in the Lafayette Hall lobby through July 3; and
online through July 6 at www.hcc.commnet.edu <http://www.hcc.commnet.edu/> .
For information, call 203-332-5100 (Admissions) or 203-332-5088 (Registrar’s
Office).
The campus is located at 900 Lafayette Blvd. in downtown Bridgeport, less than
150 yards off I-95 (Exit 27) and Rte. 8 (Exit 1) and a block from the Arena at
Harbor Yard.
