The Network Administrator certificate will provide students with the basic knowledge needed to install, configure, manage and support computer networks. The Technical Website Design certificate will provide students with the computer skills necessary to design business web sites. “The programs train students for positions that are in demand,” said HCC Academic Dean Anita Gliniecki. “Large companies have network administrators on staff while smaller companies often share one to make sure that their networks function optimally.” The website design program, she said, trains students for other positions that are in demand. “Businesses and industries are finding that they must have a website to remain competitive in this environment,” she said. “Anyone who wants information about a company today looks for a website - and that website has to be interactive, accessible and its links must be up to date.” “In this fast-paced technological environment, people want the information quickly,” she added. “If they can’t find it, they move on.” Students interested in the program are encouraged to begin the multi-step enrollment process as soon as possible and register to ensure they get the classes they want.
