February 2007
Monthly Report #4
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Interior and exterior masonry wall demolition has been substantially completed this period. Although, there was some slippage again to the Construction Schedule caused by the Demolition Subcontractor, Newfield Construction reacted with positive measures that mitigated any serious affect on the overall Schedule.
Demolition of the plaza area, the west parking garage and the roof demolition are underway.
The Construction Administrator continues to meet throughout the month with the Project Team chairing the Owner’s Meetings and participating in the General Contractor’s Subcontractor Coordination Meetings.
During
the month of March the following significant construction activities
will commence:
-
Interior grade beams;
-
Installation of the new seismic brace frame steel;
-
Mobilization of the Crane in anticipation of the installation of the new steel columns and beams;
-
Delivery of the new steel joists and deck.
Newfield has updated the Construction Schedule with a data date of
February 2, 2007. As of the end of the month of February, the
construction is on target based on the updated schedule.
