Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Industrial Technology or an appropriate related field; two to five years of experience in industrial technology. Must demonstrate substantial knowledge and abilities in industrial technology, practices, manufacturing technology, the process of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and supply chain management, marketing and program outreach activities, computer literacy, and effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Master’s Degree is a plus. Applicants who do not meet the minimum qualifications as stated are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience have prepared them for the responsibilities of this position and by providing appropriate references. Exceptions to the degree requirements may be made for compelling reasons. |
Responsibilities:

The Industrial Technology Outreach Coordinator functions as the principal marketing person for the Industrial Technology program and assists with program and curriculum development. Responsibilities include working with the Academic Coordinator and the Chair of the Math/Science Department in the development of the program and the marketing plan to reach three primary program constituencies including industry, high schools, and current Housatonic students. This coordinator will also represent the college at trade and industry events. In addition, coordinator will assist in selecting instructors, analyzing and evaluating course content in light of industry needs, and advising students. This position may require evenings and weekends. |
