Introduction to Microsoft Office

For those of you who are beginners and new to the computer or are planning to return to the workforce, this introductory course provides a quick overview to the applications in this office suite. If you are experienced with the program, you will receive comprehensive exposure to the updated 2007 version. Get a flavor of each program, so you can continue with additional Microsoft courses. In Word, we cover the basics of creating, naming, editing, and printing documents. We will learn basic formatting, margin setting, as well as cutting/copying/pasting. In Excel, we will create a spreadsheet with formulas and graph it. In PowerPoint, you will use your presentations skills to create a slide show. We will also wrap this class up by showing you how to integrate the packages together, and we will have a discussion on file management in keeping yourself organized! Students must provide their own data storage (flash drive). If textbooks are required, they are an additional cost.
